Lighting

• Use even, diffused lighting — avoid harsh shadows
• Avoid glare on foil or glossy cards (tilt the card slightly if there's glare)
• Natural daylight works well; avoid direct sunlight

Card Positioning

• Hold the card flat and steady in the camera frame
• Fill most of the frame with the card
• Keep the card at a slight distance — not too close, not too far
• Avoid angled shots — face the card directly at the camera

Common Issues

• Blurry results — Hold the card steady and ensure good lighting
• Wrong match — Try adjusting the angle or lighting; some art is similar
• No match — Very old or damaged cards may not match; add manually instead

Environment

• Use a plain, contrasting background (not another card or busy surface)
